Reach for the stars with this new James Webb Space Telescope First Day Cover. Each #6 ¾ envelope is affixed with a Forever® stamp cancelled with an official First Day of Issue postmark.
The largest and most sensitive telescope ever launched into space, Webb is capable of peering directly into the early cosmos and studying every phase of cosmic history. The stamp design uses existing art by James Vaughan and a powerful color image of space provided by NASA/STScI.
The postmark features the stamp's name and a hexagonal pattern reminiscent of the telescope’s 21-foot-wide primary mirror. Also included is the date and location of stamp issuance: September 8, 2022, Washington, DC 20066.
